Antique Persian Serapi-Karajeh Rug

This late 19th Century Serapi carpet has a large multifaceted medallion of various blues, rusty reds and ivory, which rests upon a field of various shades of blue. The field is further filled with spandrels in various reds. The midnight blue border contains repeating sub-geometric patterns of blues, reds and ivory to harmoniously complete the composition of this beautifully composed antique rug.
