This brilliant Antique Persian Heriz Serapi Rug displays a magnificent array of color and sub geometric design. At the center rests a gul type medallion with blossoming palmettes at either end. The enclosed saw tooth field as well a surrounding cornices contain a glorious exhibit of sub geometric motifs including blossoms, palmettes, pomegranates, scorpions, weaver’s combs and door bolt keys to name a few. The inner and outer guards are composed of conjoined flowers in alternating colors of red and blue. The central border contains a myriad of lovely motifs such as boteh and blossoms beautifully entwined by an abstract linear vine. 9`0 x 11`4
