Vintage Indian Amritsar with Central Medallion, Decorative Pendants and Cornices: Remarkable craftsmanship with regal designs and palette choices came out of India during the 20th century. The acidic yellow/green tones and salmon/pink hues of this antique Indian Amritsar rug play off each other amidst floral patterns and designs. An expansive central medallion, with decorative pendants at either ends, spills onto the surrounding border. The encompassing field and four ivory cornices play host to a myriad of various colorful flora. The four-channel border displays various floral and geometric motifs that travel though in a repeating pattern. The beautiful richness of color and design make this antique carpet a masterpiece.
