In Excellent Condition, this exquisite vintage Persian Heriz carpet displays geometric design and sophisticated palette of various light and medium tone colors. A refined central medallion is delicately drawn in ivory and is filled with a variety of palmettes and flowers. Beautiful feathered palmettes rest at either ends of the medallion. The central field, as well as the stepped cornices, bear a remarkable display of blossoms, foliage, palmettes and floral motifs. The inner and outer guards contain repeating, patterned floral vines, as well as a stream of colorful bead motifs. The inner border holds alternating patterns of palmettes, palm leaves and floral vines.
