This spectacular antique finely woven distressed Persian Khorasan from early 20th century Iran bears a magnificent splendor indicative of royal tastes, which sought perfection in balance and palette. The intricate geometric paisley’s display various floral motifs and are complemented by the border. The inner and outer guards contain a running pattern of flowers, while the inner border displays a variety of alternating palmettes and swept leaves. The variegated light cream field is host to a cheerful array of soft colors.
