The Sewan Kazak is among the most iconic of Caucasian village weaving. This strikingly beautiful antique Kazak displays an incredible array of articulate and bold colors. The bold contours of the top and bottom sectors of the central medallion abstractly draw in very geometric terms the palmette ornament, which is derived from classical sources to fit the village aesthetic of these weavings.
