This magnificent Antique Oushak dates from the turn of the nineteenth century and beautifully illustrates the impressive craftsmanship and design of Turkish weavers. This striking design gives the illusion of large blue medallions flowing through the rugs center field of reddish hues. Linear branches on either side of the medallions extend through as well adding to this moving effect. A multi-tiered border holds the field in place.
