This stunning antique Agra carpet beautifully illustrates the magnificent splendor of mid-19th Century Indian design and craftsmanship. The unusually bold open center field in various rich tones of blue are what sets this rug apart from all others. Corner elements containing floral motifs in various shades of pinkish lavender, ivory and cranberry curve and point to create the beautiful shape of the center field. A broad border displaying various floral patterns in lavender, cranberry and ivory rests upon a golden field and is trimmed with a thin outer blue border.
