Antique Persian Sarouk

This wonderful, early 20th century Persian Sarouk rug features a masterfully woven deep cranberry field of large trees and a myriad of floral varieties. Other color should represented in the naturally dyed wool include dark and light red, crimson, and cream. The wide border is composed of multiple patterned stripes, and the central stripe contains large-scale flowers on a dark indigo background. These are flanked by multiple narrower borders with petite floral patterns in dark and light indigo, crimson and cream.
