This highly sophisticated antique Sultanabad Mahal beautifully illustrates the complexities of turn-of-the-century Persian craftsmanship and design. The camel body of this large carpet bears an all-over interwoven display of palmettes, palm leaves, star bursts and floral motifs. A border complementary in detail and tones delicately wraps around the entire body of the rug.
