This exquisite antique Indian Amritsar Gallery rug displays a breathtaking, muted palette with a sophisticated all-over design. A fabulous tendril and stem pattern weaves throughout the entire body of the central field. Decorative elements of various palmettes, flower blossoms and leaf motifs are incorporated into the design. Diminutive cornices with similar decorative elements play into the subtle effect of the surrounding patterns. The three-band border consists of a repeating floral stem design that weaves in an alternating pattern.
