This beautiful and large antique Persian Sultanabad rug displays a gorgeous, all-over sub-geometric design paired with a rich palette of red, blue, and brown tones. The brown field plays host to a wide variety of decorative palmettes and other flora. The two-tiered inner and outer guards are composed of repeating flower patterns. The main border has an illuminated pattern of acanthus leaves and various palmettes, all rendered in lovely shades of various colors.
